Ski and Swim 2010 a Success

Dear Quacers,

Thank you all for participating in our annual Ski-n-swim weekend and making it a success again. We had a great time with all of you, in the pool, on the slopes and at the parties. We had a great turnout of local quacers and out-of-town guests. Ski, Spa and Snowshoeing Day – Sunday, February 14th, 9.00 AM – 6.00 PM, Snowbird – Come and ski and snowboard at – Snowbird, a number one resort in the country, snowshoe, if you prefer. Enjoy the tasty lunch buffet, and relax at the Spa at Cliff lodge.

Closing social – Sunday, February 14th, 8.00 PM – 10.00 PM – Gossip!

Ski and Swim 2010!

Dear Quacers and Quac supporters,
We are excited to host our annual Ski-n-Swim weekend again during the weekend of February 12 to 14th, 2010. Here are more details for you regarding the Ski-n-Swim 2010 events:

Friday, February 12: Opening social at Sheraton Hotel at 8.00 PM. Come and pick up your registration materials, buy our Ski-n-Swim t-shirts, meet other participants and make new friends. Hors d’oeuvres and cash bar available.

Saturday, February 13: Swim meet at Steiner Aquatic Center at 12.00pm. Warm-ups start at 11.00am. On deck swim meet registrations will be available until 11.30am for $15 dollar fee. USMS registration required.

Saturday, February 13: Water polo tournament at Steiner aquatic center starting right after the swim meet, around 2.30pm. You don’t have to be a member of a water polo team to play.

Saturday, February 13: Dessert social at JAM at 9.00pm. Come and party with us after a great day in the pool. We got a couple of fun things planned. Make more friends before our Ski out day.

Sunday, February 14: Ski out day at Snowbird. Ski, snowboard or snowshoe at Snowbird, the number 1 ski resort in North America . We got a ski out room at the Cliff Lodge where we are going to have our lunch buffet again. Lunch buffet ticket required to attend. You can purchase the tickets during the registration. The Cliff spa also available for a discount during our event.

Sunday, February 14: Closing social at 8.00pm. Location TBA. Come and party with us before we say goodbye.

Dear Quacers,
it is again the time of the year when we want to let you know about our upcoming Ski-n-Swim weekend. Ski-n-Swim 2010 will be held from 12 to 14 of February, 2010. We have prepared the following events for you:

Friday – Opening social
Saturday – Swim meet and Water polo tournament, Dessert social at Jam
Sunday – Skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing at Snowbird, closing social

Ski-n-swim 2010 committee members needed

Ski-n-swim 2010 committee is looking for a few committee members that would be willing to participate in our yearly Ski-n-swim weekend. This event is traditionally organized during the President’s day weekend, the upcoming one, 12-14 February 2010. We are looking for individuals that would be willing to take charge of a particular event such as opening social, closing social, or organizing volunteers, fund raising and marketing. We have a great group of volunteers already but we are looking for a few more people that would also be willing to continue in this effort during Ski-n-swim 2011.

We hope you enjoyed Ski and Swim 2009! It was great to spend the weekend with all of you. We’d especially like to thank our guests from out of town for making the journey to Utah this year.

Ski-n-Swim but You Don’t Ski? Enjoy the Spa instead!

If you’re coming in town for Ski-n-Swim but don’t ski, snowboard or snowshoe, you can still join in the fun by joining us for lunch and spending the remainder of the at Snowbird’s famous Cliff Lodge Spa.

About the Cliff Spa at Snowbird

Since 1987, the Cliff Spa has served as a place where people can get away and find balance, vitality and relaxation. It is their goal to provide an experience of solitude and reflection leaving guests refreshed and inspired.

Snowbird is offering a special discount to Ski-n-Swim participants. Purchase a daily access pass, or spa treatment, you’ll have access to steam room, sauna, and the rooftop lap pool and hot tub. Adults only (16 and older). The pool is 18 feet wide and 52 feet long and holds 32,000 gallons. The large corner hot tub provides 360-degree views of Snowbird, Mt. Superior and stars as the sun goes down.
